Yin yoga is a slow-paced class working with stillness to allow the body and mind to relax. Each posture is floor based and held for 3 -5 minutes with the support of cushions and blankets. This allows for increased blood flow through the joints, tissues and muscles and allows for a greater release and stretch. It is also deeply healing for the body and relaxing for the mind.
December can be very busy and stressful getting ready for the holiday season. Take this opportunity to wind down and relax before it starts. We will support the organs associated with winter, the kidneys and bladder and finish the session with a long relaxation and yoga nidra.
