Essaouira in Morocco is only 2.5 hours from the capital, Marrakech, by bus or taxi. Having visited there three times, I have now found the perfect place at Mary's Riad Daradul to host a yoga retreat. Mary visited Essaouira from America during the pandemic and never left. Her Riad is a quiet haven, tastefully decorated with Moroccan colour and with three terraces to enjoy expansive views of the sea. You can hang out and relax in the Riad between the yoga classes, or wander through the streets and explore the small craft workshops, market stalls, cafes and restaurants or relax and swim on the beach. For the adventurous amongst you, you can try out a surf course or stay longer and organise a trip towards the desert. Morocco is only a few hours from Europe, but is a total immersion into a colourful, friendly and vibrant culture.
Arrival on day 1 ( 11th or 18th October ) with late afternoon yoga practice and dinner at the Riad.
Departure on day 7 (17th or 24th October) after morning practice and brunch.
